The Board of Directors of my HOA have turned complete control of the association to the manager. This woman will not answer homeowner questions at meetings, nor will she let the Board Members speak. Our meetings have turned into shouting matches that end up being adjourned before the Board votes on any issues. Our reserve fund is being depleted by a maintenance company owned by the management company. Is there anyone out there who can help us in Nevada? Please don’t tell me to contact the Ombudsman.

Tom Newton is the CAI chapter president in San Antonio - and after watching how people get approval to build thier fence from the HOA, then get sued for it is DeJavu. This is exactly what they (Tom Newton and Associates of Pulte, Stone Oak, Estates at Arrowhead, Sonterra POA, Mount Arrowhead POA) did to me in 2000. I see a pattern of Racketeering and just plain meaness and lawsuit abuse by this out of control Control Freak named Tom Newton and the entire HOA industry. We should capture and drag them all by the feet thru the streets for these acts of absolute tyranny - the DA won’t do anything about it - they say “take the law into your own hands” by entering the Litigation vortex of “Civil Process”. Been there, done that, went broke as I discovered that I was up against the MAFIA - well funded and heartless. Even the Judges are involved in this racket. There is nothing civilized about these miscreants, they are all liars and have no respect for the rules. I think the DA’s office is in it, too. So where do we go from here? To the mattresses!!! We’re dealing with the Mafia, and the DA says it’s a private contract matter and refuses to get involved. Where do we go from here?
