Death threats being investigated by the FBI.

If everything was told at pre-sale interview there would be no problems. It should only be two people per bedroom. Apartment buildings do the same thing when you move in there, and there is no news story about it. This is a condominium I take it and they have always had rules. The story did not say how many childen the lady had but if this is the issue, then it should have been told at the pre-sale interview. If they have an adult only pool children should swim in there own pool. If condo’s and apartments did not have number of occupant rules, imagine how many people some families would shove into a unit. Death threats and unsigned letters how chicken is that? The Board of Directors should be handling this issue with the association attorney and tell in a memo who ever is doing the threatening to please stop.

Regarding the limit on the number of residents in a condo unit, this is just another example of a buyer agreeing to something and then later complaining about it.

One of the most fundamental rights American are supposed to enjoy is to live in an place of their choosing. Yes some conditions are legally place on the living arrangements by HOAs and planned communities, but when these restrictions offend such individual fundamental rights like the choice of places to live, travel, ect., then the courts should strike such provisions in HOA governance documents as unlawful; unless, of course, we Americans want to live in a country run by rule of might makes right rather than the rule of law.

Upon careful examination, if you look closely, you may find that other HAO rules that restrict fundamental rights may come in to constitutional contravention.

Something to say?
