Isn’t this embarrassing? As a citizen of Arizona, knowing the Nation can watch our legislature in action via the internet, I am so embarrassed! Albeit though, the analogy of “getting the ticks out of a cows ear” was most appropriate being that the silence was caused by the fact that Senator Tibshraeny at the behest of CAI, called for our Hearings Bill HB2824 to be “retained” and not heard. CAI is freaking out, because Arizona Homeowners want a fair playingfield for Justice. The Lawmakers are freaking out because it is an election year. They know the voters are watching, and deciding who they will vote for according to their decisions in the Leigislature…. Yet…. then there is CAI, and their healthy campaign donations, and gifts.
The Leigslature killed 2 other important bills this year. 1, that banned Gifts from Lobbyists, the other, that required a No Bribery clause to be added to the Secretary of State Handbook, “Guide for Lobbyist Behavior” ….. now why do you suppose they would kill those bills?
I must be slow - I’m still waiting for the punchline . . .

The CAI attorneys are the real leeches that suck the blood of homeowners victimized by corrupt HOA board members. These attorneys don’t want to be accountable to a judge–anymore than the HOA board members want accountability. No wonder they are trying to destroy any hopes of due process for homeowners by nixing the HOA bill. They would lose their cash cow–ticks or no ticks.
